It's been a while since I've posted anything. In fact I don't even think I posted after the Ironman in April. In the interest of continuity I suppose I should comment on the Ironman performance. So I will, I wasn't satisfied with it! I didn't break 10 (10hrs 5) and I didn't qualify for Hawaii (3 mins off). I'll be back though.
My latest athletic journey is to the 2008 London Marathon, it will be my 5th. The primary goal is to dip under 2hrs 45 mins although I do feel I'm capable of closer to 2.40…..so we'll see. Since Windsor in June I haven't trained at all. It was a very short but quite successful season. I managed PBs at Sprint distance, Half Ironman and Ironman (I only raced 3 times!!).
This week will be the end of my 4th week of run training. To begin with I'm going for frequency over and above anything else. I'm attempting to run every day although this hasn't actually worked out. The plan was 30 runs in 30 days with a minimum outing of 30 mins. I haven't succeeded in doing this although attempting to do so has meant that I've run a lot more than normal.See the following link for this weeks training (all 6 days so far).

Today I ran the Bushy Park 5k. I'm going to try and make it a regular thing as I think it's a great speed session. I was slightly disappointed with my time (17m18s) but quite happy to finish 4rd in the race. It was a bit breezy so I'm hoping there's a few more seconds to shave off. Plus, it's the end of week 4 after a long layoff.
